Our Food

At River Haven our food philosophy is simple: uncomplicated, honest, fresh flavours using the region’s best local artisan produce.

Tony Robson-Burrell has always cooked from the heart. Tony is committed to sourcing only the highest-quality ingredients from local producers, ensuring that our menu is fresh and seasonally inspired. Everything is homemade in our kitchens, including our own bread.

Our produce is ethically sourced and often organic. Our beef is dry-aged for 45 days and comes from Andy at Ellis Creek Farm in Golden Bay, who shares our commitment to animal welfare.

The staff are fantastic!

Just wanted to let you know what a lovely visit we had on Anzac Day. We’d been for coffee for the first time only the week before, so we took friends this time and had lunch. The staff are fantastic! Especially Lisa. Nothing is too much trouble. I’ve given a Google review but want to let you know how much we enjoyed it.

What an experience!

WOW, what an experience it was to be with you on Sunday. River Haven had been recommended to us and we were blown away by it all. Magnificent setting, amazing English style upgrade of the restaurant, perfection of the grounds, including the Coffee bus, General Store and then those fantastic vintage cars. Huge kudos to you and your management. You made us feel so welcome and it was an absolute blast to drive out to you and experience it all.
