River Haven Wine

Crafted by Nature, Perfected by Tradition
Riverhaven is a boutique vineyard focused on producing high-quality wines and in particular a world-class Pinot Gris. Unlike many New Zealand vineyards, we adhere to the traditional principles of viticulture. We don't use artificial irrigation, our vines are naturally hydrated from the numerous mountain springs surrounding the vineyard. We apply only natural products for disease control and fertilisation and mechanisation is kept to an absolute minimum- hence we hand-pick our harvest.

A World-Class Vintage, Grown the Natural Way
At Riverhaven, our focus is on quality over quantity—producing a boutique vintage with a level of exclusivity that makes each bottle truly special. While many pursue volume, we chose a different path. Drawing on our understanding of positive energy, structured water, and natural fertilisers and weed control, we nurtured our vines in harmony with the land. The result? Our very first harvest in 2023 was recognised by experts as world-class. A testament to nature, intention, and the power of doing things differently.
New Zealand's Most Positive Vineyard enjoyed a bumper 2025 harvest so we now begin the work of preparing our vines for the next season. And you could be part of it!
Positive Vines, Positive Minds
Alongside our trials of natural fertilisers and the introduction of electroculture, we've decided to ditch the boring row numbers and give our vines names with meaning instead. Each vine row will be marked by the name of someone who has made a positive impact, whether in the lives of their loved ones or on a global scale. It's our way of infusing the vineyard with even more good energy--because who knows, maybe a little positivity really can lead to an even more fruitful harvest in 2028. We're now inviting your suggestions. Every submission will be thoughtfully considered, and the first nameplates will be going up very soon. If your nomination is selected, we'll send you a photo of your dedicated vine row as a thank-you.
