Conservation at River Haven

by | Sep 19, 2022

The River Haven conservation trust now “manages” over 50 hectares of native New Zealand bush.

We’re undertaking a massive regeneration and conservation programme guided by expert botanists, horticulturists and lots of other ‘ists’. Our efforts may seem inconsequential in terms of the bigger Gaia picture but we believe we all have a responsibility to do our very best for our immediate local environment.

The River Haven vision has been influenced by many inspirational visionaries and in particular the brilliant scientist James Lovelock. Sadly James recently departed at the magnificent age of 103 but he will forever be remembered as the scientist who changed our view of planet Earth.

James Lovelock

We recommend his book, The Vanishing Face of Gaia – A Final Warning, as it will arm you with valuable, accurate information which will help you to form your own opinion about the current climate change agenda.
