The River Haven team are building great links with local residents and organisations but we believe the most important relationship to foster is with the unique natural environment of Ngātīmoti and the Motueka River Valley.
That’s why we bought a property which local residents referred to as “the f*****g tip”!
Many hours of hard graft later (not to mention many thousands of dollars later!) we’ve removed years of rubbish and hazardous waste and now we will begin to regenerate the hectare of land alongside the fabulous river with native plants, an orchard and a flower meadow.
This is just one of several environmental projects our conservation team are undertaking in this wonderful part of Aotearoa.
